
Melinda Matticoli (she/her) is a choreographer, director, and filmmaker elevating dance into compelling film experiences—where movement and camera work are crafted with equal intention. Originally from Skillman, New Jersey, she launched her professional career at sixteen, quickly building a reputation for inventive choreography that explores the relationship between music and the body. She has collaborated with brands including Nike, Peerspace, Goldfish, Vimeo, and 8Greens, as well as music videos for artists such as Cold Weather Company and Tiny June. Her work has been presented at Choreographers Carnival Los Angeles, Club Jeté, Sybarite Love is Love, Club NYC, Off-Broadway venues, and on global platforms, including World of Dance
.
In film and directing, Melinda specializes in movement-driven visual storytelling—designing seamless transitions, spatial architecture, and camera choreography that immerse audiences within the narrative. Her work has been commissioned by Dance Canvas, screened at Dance Films New York, and showcased at festivals worldwide.

Melinda began training at age three and later studied at Broadway Dance Center’s Children and Teens Program on the Jamison Novello Scholarship. Early in her career, she worked with leading artists such as Nicole Fosse, Parth Sethi, Aspen Waddell, and Steven Blandino; performed with The Verdon Fosse Legacy in Who’s Got the Pain; and taught at TMilly TV, Movement Lifestyle, Soul de Soul Dance Convention, and The University of Pennsylvania. This background naturally informs the sensitivity and precision she brings to her creative process.

She is a proud founding member of the Choreographers Guild and serves on the Dance Camera West screening committee, advocating for creative visibility, community, and the continued evolution of choreography within film and media.
